Job Overview:


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Classroom Assistant to support our educational team in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly in a classroom setting, and possess strong caregiving skills. This role is essential in assisting teachers with daily activities, managing classroom dynamics, and providing individualized attention to students.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
  • Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and structured environment.
  • Provide care and supervision for children during classroom activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Help with the organization of classroom materials and resources.
  • Engage with students to foster their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Assist in managing the needs of children with disabilities or special requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members regarding student progress and needs.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.


Qualifications:


  • Completion of DCF 45-hour Childcare Training or willingness to complete
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Must pass Level 2 Background Check, fingerprinting, and drug screening
  • Recent TB test and Certificate of Good Health
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare setting preferred
  • Positive, patient, and flexible personality


Experience:


  • Previous experience in caregiving or childcare settings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with classroom management techniques is beneficial.
  • Experience working with children of various ages, including infants and preschoolers, is highly desirable.
  • Background in educating or nannying can be advantageous.
  • A passion for working with children and contributing positively to their growth and development.

Job Overview


Trusted Love KinderCare (TLK) is seeking dedicated, passionate, compassionate, energetic, and qualified Child Care Teacher to join our team. Founded by licensed mental health and behavior therapists, TLK is committed to high-quality, developmentally appropriate care in a loving and inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. This role involves working with preschool and toddler-aged children, utilizing effective classroom management techniques, and implementing engaging educational activities that promote learning and development.


Responsibilities


  • Plan and implement daily activities that support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
  • Provide care and supervision for children in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement strategies to encourage good behavior.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and any concerns.
  • Foster a love for learning through creative activities, including math and Montessori-inspired lessons.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for all children.
  • Support children with special education needs by adapting activities to meet diverse learning styles.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.


Required Qualifications:


  • DCF 45-hour Child Care Training Certificate
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Red Cross First Aid & CPR Certification
  • Certificate of Good Health and completed TB test
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in child care or early childhood education
  • 15 hours of annual in-service training after hire
  • Must pass Level 2 criminal background screening, fingerprinting, and drug test


Preferred Qualifications:


FCCPC or CDA Credential (preferred for Lead Teachers)

VPK coursework (for Lead Teachers)

Montessori experience or similar structured curriculum exposure
